Reasons from Reasons from K***********
I chose Beijing Foreign Studies University because I want to study Chinese in a place that is known worldwide for its excellence in language education. The General Chinese Program at the School of Chinese Language and Literature feels like the right fit for me, since it combines structured learning with opportunities to experience Chinese culture firsthand. I’m excited about the chance to improve my Mandarin in Beijing, I can practice daily in real-life situations and learn directly experienced professors. For me, this program is not just about language—it’s about building a deeper understanding of Chinese society and literature, and preparing myself to connect more meaningfully with people across cultures in the future.
